For knowledge, take the highest three skill values of the according skill from among players. This is the initial skill value. Tell the players everything they know for according enemies.

Whenever a player starts a nonextra turn, it may choose one monster type. Increase the group result of knowledge for that monster by 1 and, if applicable, tell them more.

Any other increase of knowledge does not increase the group result for that.

Some thing are always common lore for nonhidden creatures:
- The position a creature occupies.
- The size of a creature.
- Whether a creature can legally enter a position.
- Whether a creature is prone.
- The hp status of a creature from the following: Being at maximum hitpoints; having lost hitpoints, but not being wounded; being wounded; being at 0 hitpoints.
- Whether a creature is dropped.
- Whether a creature has shield points.
- The size of the biggest aura a creature has.
- All effects on a creature it could recover from. For stacking effect, the exact number isn't common knowledge.
- All keyworded effects the creature is affected by (this are things like vulnerabilities or dazed). The exact number isn't common knowledge.
- The number of effects a creature sustains.
- For sustained creatures the sustaining creatures.
- The initiative position.
- Whether a creature has cover, concealment, superior cover or total concealment from the knowing creature.
- Whether the knowing creature is superior to the creature and vice versa.
- Whether a creature is invisible.
- Whether a creature sheds light.
- Whether a creature is immune mark.
- For player characters the main role.

Some events are common lore when they occur:
- When a creature takes damage.
- When a creature regains or loses hitpoints.
- When a creature regains or loses shield points.
- When a creature drops.
- When resistances or vulnerabilities affect dealt damage. If both apply, only the stonger effect is common lore.
- When a creature regains the use of a power. The actual power is not common lore though.
- Any die roll, including the result of any die and any rerolls. It is not common lore what the roll is for.
- Any recovery roll rolled, including whether it succeeds.
- Any attack happening, including whether it hit and whether it is critical.
- Any action performed. Only the action type is known.
- If a power is used twice, it is common lore that both actions are the same power.
